PERFECTION FOR ZVVZ USK PRAGUE
|Danielle Robinson put on an emphatic performance for ZVVZ USK Prague in the finals of the Czech ZBL|
Not missing a beat for the entire season takes an incredible effort on all counts, but perfection is exactly what ZVVZ USK Prague have achieved after they completed a flawless 2013-14 by retaining their ZBL Championship crown.
Their dominance was also underlined in the manner of their success after completing an emphatic 76-48 victory against BK Imos Brno to seal a 3-0 series win.
Danielle Robinson was the star of the show after scoring 20 points, grabbing seven steals and five rebounds, while fellow American Kia Vaughn had a double-double of 16 points and 10 boards.
Jelena Dubljevic flew the flag for the European contingent with 18 points - as did Spanish veteran Laia Palau, who was named MVP of the ZBL.
Czech trio Eva Viteckova, Alena Hanusova and Tereza Peckova all joined her in the ZBL Team of the Season, along with Vaughn.
MACCHI AND LARKINS RETAIN TITLE FOR SCHIO
It was complicated at times, but Beretta Famila Schio are still the Italian champions after they eventually shrugged off Passalacqua Ragusa 68-54 in the fifth game of an epic series.
Having to come from behind after a below par opening twenty minutes, 14 points and 14 boards from Erlana Larkins and a game-high 18 points from Italian veteran Laura Macchi got Schio over the finishing line.
Ashley Walker had 17 points for the losing team, but Schio weren't to be denied and were left to celebrate a perfect end to a season which was also a landmark 40th birthday.
PINKK PESCI 424 LAND HUNGARIAN CHAMPIONSHIP
In yet another thrilling five game series, it was Pinkk Pecsi 424 who prevailed in the Hungarian Championship as they won the deciding game 54-42 against fellow EuroCup Women competitors and derby rivals, PEAC Pecs.

In a defensively dominated last game, neither team could find any real offensive rhythm and consequently it was only about riding out on top - something Pinkk Pesci were able to do with Amber Holt giving them a spark just when they needed it down the stretch as they pulled clear.
She finished with 13 points and seven rebounds, with Daphanie Kennedy scoring 15 points for the triumphant champions who could now potentially line up in EuroLeague Women next season.
However, the biggest story of the night was that it proved to be the perfect farewell for Hungarian basketball legend, Dalma Ivanyi as she ended her successful career on a high note.
EUROLEAGUE WOMEN DUO BOOK MEETING IN FRANCE
Tango Bourges and Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration will contest the French Championship Finals after the latter took the third game of their semi-final series against Basket Landes to join Bourges who had already secured a ticket after sweeping Villeneuve d'Ascq.
As has been the case so many times this season, Geraldine Robert was the main protagonist for BLMA as she harvested a near double-double of 21 points and nine boards in a 69-57 victory.
Her contribution was arguably matched by Fatimatou Sacko who had 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Julie Barennes exploded for Landes with more points than minutes, finishing with 18 to her name.
Bourges eased past Villeneuve 59-49 in their decisive meeting, with Paoline Salagnac scoring 14 points.
However, the losing team could possibly use their loss as motivation to take the French Cup when both teams meet in the Final.
