|Birsel Vardarli and Fenerbahce proved once more that their house is a fortress, winning their 17th home game in a row|
Fenerbahce extended their unbeaten home run in EuroLeague Women to a superb seventeen games after recording a comprehensive 84-60 Group B success against Rivas Ecopolis.
The leaders had too much strength in depth for their opponents as they claimed a fifth win of the season to both stay perfect and edge a little closer to securing their place in the play-offs.
After a keenly contested first phase of the game which led to the game being tied early in the second quarter, the Turkish giants erupted.
They posted an emphatic 34-11 run either side of half-time to leave Rivas trailing in their wake and unable to recover for the remainder of the game.
A slick team display witnessed Fenerbahce come up with 20 assists and they also had eleven different scorers who mostly shot the ball to great effect throughout the contest, making life extremely difficult for the visitors.
Rivas had real trouble on the wings and couldn't lock down Angel McCoughtry or Agnieszka Bibrzycka who both excelled for Fenerbahce.
The former had an all-action 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals, whilst the latter landed a team-high 18 points.
Laura Nicholls stood out in defeat by corralling 19 points and nine rebounds.
