|Nuria Martinez was instrumental to Kayseri's success on the road|
Kayseri Kaski Spor collected only their second EuroLeague Women win of the campaign with a real team effort facilitating an 88-65 Group A success at HAT-AGRO Uni Gyor.
The Turkish club had five players in double-figures, with Spanish playmaker Nuria Martinez and Mirna Mazic particularly impressive.
The former claimed 17 points and handed out six assists, whilst Croatian Mazic produced 14 points from seven of nine floor-shooting and was just one rebound shy of a double-double.
As usual it was Courtney Vandersloot who carried the hopes of the home side and in her last game for Gyor before a proposed New Year switch to Beretta Famila Schio, she put her team 14-11 in front.
However, Gyor couldn't keep pace with Kayseri who pressed on the accelerator during the middle part of the encounter.
They accumulated 33 points during the second quarter to jump firmly into the box-seat and after continuing their good work in the third period, found themselves streaking clear with a mammoth 63-37 advantage.
But, Gyor showed real heart and determination to really push Kayseri and make sure they couldn't stroll over the finishing line.
They outscored Kayseri 27-13 during a fine phase of play across the third and fourth quarter break, with only a late surge by Kayseri widening the final margin of victory.
Vandersloot signed off for Gyor without the first win she craved, but by underlined her quality once again by adding a superb 24 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists.
