|Farhiya Abdi stole the show in BK Imos Brno's second win of the season|
A devastating shooting performance from downtown helped BK Imos Brno post their best performance of the season in EuroLeague Women Group A as they completed an 86-61 rout of Uni Gyor.
In what was only their second win of the season, Brno climbed away from bottom spot on the table after catching fire from long-range as they poured in a mesmerising nine-of-13 from behind the arc to put a shell-shocked Gyor to the sword.
There had been barely anything in the game during a tight first ten minutes of action, which left the scores tied up at 17.
But the home side cut loose during the middle two quarters, and a stunned Gyor had no answers as Brno posted a stunning 30-10 run either side of the interval.
When Veronika Vlkova drilled a triple to round off the scoring for the third quarter to put Brno 70-46 in front, it summarised the story of a game which had started as an intense tussle, but quickly developed into a decidedly one-sided affair.
There were some superb shooting displays right down the hosts' roster with Vlkova making three-of-three from outside and Anna Juvcenkova going five-of-six from the field in just 14 minutes, but it was Farhiya Abdi and Tereza Peckova who stole the show.
The former top-scored with 22 points, whilst the latter had six rebounds and 15 points from seven-of-nine floor shooting.
Nora Nagy-Budjoso stood out most for Gyor with 14 points and six rebounds in defeat.
