Tarsus will play their final EuroLeague Women game of the year without a head coach

Erdal Yegin has resigned as head coach of Tarsus Belediye with immediate effect, on the eve of their final game of the EuroLeague Women regular season.

The play-caller has presided over the clubs' first ever foray into the competition, accumulating three wins from eleven games, including a historic first success back in November at Brno.

Whilst Tarsus didn't get the required number of victories to make it to the post-season, his decision to step down from the helm comes at a time when they will be gunning for a third successive win when they wrap up their involvement in Group A at home to Wisla-Can Pack this week.

The club had to overcome a tricky initiation back at the start of the season with five of their first six EuroLeague Women games being played on the road.

Roster changes were also made when Spanish duo Cindy Lima and Amaya Valdemoro left by mutual consent before Israeli guard Shay Doron was drafted in.

Tarsus are currently sitting in fourth place in the Turkish League with an 11-and-5 record and also going for a third straight win in that tournament.

A replacement has yet to be announced, although Olcay Orak who was fired by EuroCup Women side Adana Botas last week is believed to be in negotiations to succeed Yegin.
