FIBA Europe Cup Women's Final Four to be held in Russia

After having received bids from France, Spain and Russia, FIBA Europe has decided that the FIBA Europe Cup Women's Final Four will be held in Samara, Russia.

"This FIBA Europe Cup Women is in its first year, and as such this final four is a new event for us," said Executive Director Nar Zanolin. "Russia has a superb tradition in producing top women's basketball talent, and we are delighted to give them and Samara the chance to host this final four."

The FIBA Europe Cup Women's Final Four will take place on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April, 2003. The following clubs have qualified:

VBM SGAU Samara (RUS)
Caja Rural De Canarias (ESP)
Aix en Provence Basket Ball Feminin (FRA)
Ano Liosia Basketball (GRE)

The semi-final pairings are:

Aix en Provence Basket Ball Feminin v. Ano Liosia Basketball
Caja Rural De Canarias v. VBM SGAU Samara
