Agnieszka Majewska had one of her best games of the season to date for CCC Polkowice, finishing with 11 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots
The revival of CCC Polkowice continued after they claimed a 65-56 success against Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje to halt their opponents' six-game winning streak in EuroLeague Women Group C.
The Polish club picked up a third win in four games to give their prospects of a snatching a place in the play-offs next month a huge boost.
Jacek Winnicki ensured his players did what they had to do on the glass and an excellent rebounding display helped them to keep pace with high-flying Sparta&K.
The hosts edged a tight first-half 25-23, but seven consecutive points shortly after the interval including baskets from former Sparta&K duo Janel McCarville and Jelena Skerovic, got Polkowice onto the front foot and they managed to stay ahead for the remainder of the contest.
Whilst their lead was modest and a jump-shot by Tijana Ajdukovic brought the visitors to within a point early in the last period, CCC Polkowice showed great composure to push down on the accelerator during crunch time and slate a strong finish to take the win.
McCarville had 15 points and eight rebounds, but it was arguably the 11 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots from frontcourt partner Agnieszka Majewska which caught the eye - even though she fouled out.
Natalia Vieru racked up a super 14 points and 13 rebounds for Sparta&K.
