|Latvian veteran Gunta Basko-Melnbarde provided the backbone for Lattes Montpellier's third win of the EuroLeague Women campaign|
Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration are still in play-off contention after they stormed to a 76-53 victory against BK Imos Brno to end a six-game losing streak in EuroLeague Women Group B.
BLMA clinched only their third win of the season and first since November last year, to inject some life into their hopes of sneaking into the play-offs.
Geraldine Robert harvested 19 points, seven rebounds and five steals to lead the way but Latvian veteran Gunta Basko-Melnbarde was arguably even more influential.
She claimed a pivotal 10 points, seven rebounds, six assists and incredible eight steals to ensure the fans got to see an overdue home court success.
Having opened up a slender 16-14 lead after the opening quarter, the French side began to turn the screw and once they took control, they never looked like relinquishing it.
A 16-4 run in the second period did the damage and Brno couldn't recover as BLMA held them at arms' length, before widening the gap even further during the remainder of the game.
Virginie Bremont was also impressive with a smooth shooting display handing her 16 points for the victorious team, whilst Alena Hanusova had 13 points and seven rebounds for Brno who slumped to a third loss in a row.
