Career: Real Canoe (Spain-1ª División, 1994-97), George Washington (USA-NCAA, 1997-2000), Halcón Viajes (Spain-LF, 2000-01), Caja Rural Canarias (Spain-LF, 2001-02), Ros Casares (2002-10), Rivas Ecopolis (Spain-LF 2010-11)
Widely recognised as one of, if not the, very best Spanish point guard of recent years, the levels of composure when under pressure suggest Elisa Aguilar has ice running through her veins. A completely unselfish playmaker, with as quick a basketball mind as you could ever wish to see, she is known as a joy to coach and play with. She missed out on playing in the bronze medal game at the World Championships but still contributed on the way to the podium finish. It's been a strange 12 months or so for the guard who was not re-signed by Ros Casares after eight years and then returned to lead Rivas Ecopolis to a Copa winners medal in Valencia. It's possible she might be used as a steady hand coming off the bench in Poland as there are few more experienced playmakers around but however she is utilised, her experience both on and off the court is priceless. She has been part of the National Team set-up for some 14 years now and barring the 2002 World Championship Women, has been a virtual ever present.
