There were contrasting emotions for ZVVZ USK Prague and USO Mondeville as the former punched their ticket for the play-offs with a hard-fought 56-51 victory to leave the latter reflecting on what might have been. Both teams knew what they needed to do heading into the contest and it was a really intense tussle - or at least right up until near the end of the third quarter when Prague made a decisive and game-changing burst. It had initially looked as if USO Mondeville might be left stranded on the starting line when Prague jumped out of the blocks and into a 15-4 lead, but they recovered in double-quick time by scoring seven of the next eight points. Their recovery continued, and approaching the midway point of the second quarter, they managed to tie the game through Noel Kuin. But, Prague finished the half strongly as successive baskets by Kia Vaughn put them 29-23 to the good. The hosts then exploded during the latter part of the third period when after leading by just three points, they outscored Mondeville 12-4 to take control at 47-37. Whilst Prague suddenly found themselves with one foot in the play-offs, it wasn't to prove a comfortable passage since the visitors held them to just nine points during the last ten minutes. Having halved the gap, Mondeville ran out of time and slipped to defeat. A potential reprieve also went up in smoke as Perfumerias Avenida got the win they needed at Novi Zagreb to confirm the end of the road for the French club. Rebekkah Brunson had 12 points and 11 rebounds for Prague and Kristen Sharp top scored in the game with 20 points for Mondeville.
