Without their key-players Paccelis Morlende and Vakhtang Natsvlishvili, Dijon had no chance at all to win their away game against French rival Vichy.
With a solid performance and good shooting from behind the arch, the home team achieved two easy points for this 98-81 victory.
From the early beginning of the team, Vichy took control and had a quick 10-point lead. Kostyantyn Furman had a huge impact scoring 9 of Vichy’s first 20 points.
Shortly before halftime Dijon was able to strike back a little bit and close the gap from 17 to 11 points after 20 minutes (51-40).
In the second half Auvergne did not have any problems controlling the game and thanks to Furman who kept on scoring and scoring the home team was able to increase its lead.
Only Rowan Barrett pressed against the loss – in vain. Vichy’s Head Coach Jean-Michel Senegal used the huge advantage to give some extra playtime to his bench players. Even those were able to keep the distance.
