BC Kyiv kept alive their hopes of winning the Superliga title on Monday night with a last-gasp victory over Azovmash in game three of the play-off final.
The 76-74 win in the Ukraine capital was vital for Kyiv as it prevented Azovmash taking a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Azovmash had claimed the opening two games of the series with relative ease and looked to be on course to win the third match as well when they established a nine-point lead by the end of the first quarter.
But with little to lose, Kyiv staged a superb fightback, reducing Azovmash's advantage to five points by half-time before dominating the final period to sneak a two-point win.
Azovmash forward Viacheslav Ievstratenko, who collected a match-high 23 points in game two, again led all scorers with 19 points while Volodymyr Gurtovyi and Andriy Botichev both weighed in with 13 points apiece for the losers.
Kyiv's leading scorer was Sergei Chikalkin with 15 points.
