Lebedyntsev Resigns

BC Kyiv head coach Vitaly Lebedyntsev has resigned due to health problems.

BC Kyiv bosses have accepted the resignation and appointed Viktor Berezhnyi as acting head coach of the club.

Lebedyntsev had also coached  MBC Odessa, Azovmash and Bulgarian club BC Yambolgaz

He was was appointed head coach of Kyiv in October 2003 after Igors Miglieks left due to a salary dispute.

Lebedyntsev had been under pressure after Kyiv had lost to BC Polonia in Warsaw in a FIBA Europe League game.

Kyiv are currently in second place in the Ukrainian Superliga with 13 wins from 16 games, while in the FIBA Europe League they are sixth in Group C with four wins and four defeats.
