Khimik Yuzhny sent Ukrainian rivals Azovmash crashing to their first defeat of the Superliga campaign.
In a battle of FIBA Europe League sides, Azovmash had won their first 11 games but Khimik prevailed in this weekend’s game 98-86.
Khimik stretched a 48-43 lead at half-time to a 73-63 advantage by the end of the third quarter and won comfortably.
Both sides were coming off big wins in Europe which have kept them firmly in contention for a place in the next stage of the competition.
In midweek, Azovmash won 82-70 at Pepinster and are fourth in Group B with five victories in nine games.
In Group D, Khimik are third with six triumphs and three defeats. They won 82-69 over Paris Basket Racing.
