BC Vozko Voznesensk have brought in Valentin Voronin to replace coach Valentyn Romanets after he failed to achieve the club`s pre-season targets.
But the decision could backfire on club chiefs as three of Vozko`s key players now look set to leave, according to Ukrainian newspaper Sport-Arena.
“The club`s management required the team to win nine games,” Romanets told the newspaper following his departure.
“But we only managed to win seven.”
Now Voronin, who was sacked by MBC Odessa earlier in the season, will take over from Romanets.
But he is likely to have to do without three of the club`s first-choice players - Roman Ivanchenko,
Roman Doroshenko and Olexiy Yangicher - who are set to follow Romanets out of the club. Ivanchenko and Doroshenko have been linked with a move to BC Lvivs'ka Politehnika.
Elsewhere, MBC Odessa have made guards Edmund Valeiko, Olexiy Beskov and forward Denys Ivanov available for transfer.
