MBC Odessa’s chances in their FIBA Europe League clash against Dynamo Moscow have been severely dented due to an injury bug at the Ukrainian club.
In the last round of Ukraine’s Superliga against BC-93 in Rivne, Odessa's Vadym Pudzyrey, Edmunds Valeiko, Gennadiy Kuznyetsov and Viktor Savchenko were hurt.
All four were uncertainties ahead of Wednesday night’s game against the Moscow side.
Odessa have lost their first two encounters in the FIBA Europe League.
In the Ukraine, another FIBA Europe League side has so far conquered all before them on the domestic front.
Azovmash of Mariupol are still undefeated after beating Dynamo Dnipropetrovsk twice at the weekend.
Azovmash, however, have suffered two defeats on the trot in Europe.
After opening with a victory over Turk Telekom, they have suffered back-to-back losses to PAOK Thessaloniki and CBC Siroki Hercegtisak.
Leonid Yaylo had 21 points and seven rebounds in Tuesday night’s setback against Siroki but Azovmash, who trailed by 16 at the break, weren’t able to force their way back into the contest.
Khimik-OPZ and BC Kyiv are also playing well and have only one defeat so far in the Ukraine.
