On June 17, in an unprecedented event for European basketball, 31,004 people gathered in the seven cities which will host EuroBasket 2009 in order to beat the Guiness World Record in dribbling a basketball simultaneously in different places. The event was staged by the Polish Basketball Federation and the Local Organising Committees of EuroBasket 2009 and was broadcast live by the public broadcaster TVP.
